Tour Itinerary for 4 days Uganda Safari

Day 1: Pickup – transfer to Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safari

The traveler is expected to get to Entebbe International Airport such that they are picked by our professional tour guide/safari driver who will transfer them to the western part of Uganda with a stop-over for handicrafts and photos at the Equator. Then proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the spectacular Rwenzori Mountain range for much of the journey. A game drive in park is highly rewarding. Expect to see a variety of animals such as lions, elephants, leopards, hyenas, buffaloes, antelopes and duikers. Have lunch and embark on the sole evening 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga channel into Lake Edward. This channel offers you an opportunity to see at close range the highest concentration of hippos, surrounded by migrant and resident birds (over 550 bird species) and other animals such as crocodiles drinking and resting at water edges. The launch cruise offers an excellent platform for 3 activities; photography, bird watching and game viewing. In the evening, you will transfer back to your safari accommodation for your dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Queen Game Safari – transfer to Bwindi

Have a morning game drive and then drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park along Kasenyi track and Queen’s mile in the park. As you drive, you will see the topis, waterbucks, leopards, warthogs, hyena, cape buffaloes, kobs, elephants, not forgetting the lions and birds and many other small game. Subsequent to the game drive, drive to Bwindi Gorillas Park through Maramagambo and Ishasha sector. Driving along the road through the Ishasha sector offers an opportunity to view wildlife like the tree climbing lions, antelopes, elephant, waterbucks, kobs and buffalos. Arrive in Bwindi Rainforests Park in the evening, to check in at your safari lodge / safari camp for diner and overnight.

Day 3: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking in Impenetrable Forests

Wake up early in the morning to enter into the gorilla habitat. It is totally amazing when you get into the forest offering spectacular views of heavy leaves, birds and butterflies, heavily forested and dense landscape crisscrossed by plenty of animal trails, allowing access for tourists. The noted mammals here are; the endangered mountain gorillas, buffalo, elephants, the rare golden monkeys, black-fronted duikers, bush bucks, giant forest hogs, leopards, and other wildlife. Bwindi Park is best known for the charming, gentle giant gorillas, where the time and terrain taken to trek gorillas varies according to the movements of these awesome primates. While in the forests, there is nothing as fantastic, interesting, memorable and breathtaking as observing the mountain gorillas. For those of you who fear gorillas, you ought to know and remember that the gorillas are our closest relatives, very shy and interesting to look at. After gorilla trekking, return to your safari camp / safari lodge to spend the rest of the evening at leisure as you wait for dinner and spending the overnight.

Day 4: Bwindi Gorilla Forests – return to Kampala

Wake up and enjoy your breakfast at leisure, after which you checkout of your safari lodge/safari camp to transfer to Kampala driving through Mbarara where traditional dishes can be arranged for you to have as your en-route lunch. Continue driving and arrive in Kampala in the early evening. Advice your safari driver guide on your preferred drop off point or be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
